Acting District Attorney
W. Cliff Howard, in accordance with the provisions of O.C.G.A. 15-18-16, as amended by Ga. L. 2006, p. 414, assumes responsibility as acting district attorney for the Alcovy Judicial Circuit effective August 12, 2026, until such time as a successor has been duly appointed by the Governor.
Gov. Brian Kemp appointed former District Attorney, Randy McGinley, to the Superior Court of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and he was sworn into office on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Judge McGinley fills the vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. W. Kendall Wynne, Jr.
